Nero Marquina is quarried in the Basque region of Spain and is one of the most recognizable black stones in the world. Its deep, near-pure black ground is crossed by fine white calcite veining that adds movement without reducing the stone's dramatic character.

How Nero Marquina is Used

Checkerboard combinations: The most common dark stone in the checkerboard collection — paired with Thassos White, Bianco Carrara, Calacatta Gold, Bianco Dolomite, Oriental White, and Afyon White across sizes from 4x4 to 24x24.

Standalone field tile: A 12x24 or 24x24 Nero Marquina floor in polished finish with tight white grout is a statement installation. Honed finish reduces the contrast for a more subtle result.
