Emperador Dark marble is quarried in Alicante, Spain — the same region as Crema Marfil — and is its dramatic counterpart. Where Crema Marfil is light and warm, Emperador Dark is deep espresso brown with intricate networks of white and gold veining that create a richness unavailable in lighter stones.
Design Applications
Checkerboard floors: Crema Marfil and Emperador Dark is one of the most classical warm-tone checkerboard combinations. Also available in checkerboard combinations with other light marble families.
Standalone tile: A bathroom with Emperador Dark walls and floors reads as deeply luxurious. Its warm brown tones and complex veining work particularly well with bronze and aged brass hardware.
Mosaic accent stone: Emperador Dark chips appear as dots in Crema Marfil basketweave and other two-stone mosaic patterns.
