Brown Stone Tile with Depth and Character

Brown stone tile adds depth, warmth and a grounded feel to floors, walls, fireplaces and outdoor spaces. This collection brings together our brown marbles, walnut and noce travertines and rust-toned Scabos travertine in field tiles, mosaics, trims, Versailles pattern sets and checkerboards.

Every piece is natural stone, so color, veining and pores vary from tile to tile. Order a sample, then blend tiles from several boxes during installation.

Brown Marble

Emperador Dark is a rich chocolate-brown stone with paler, fractured-looking veining. Emperador Light is a softer tan-brown version. Both are sold as marble, although geologically Emperador is a dolomitic limestone. Read the Emperador guide. Spanish Mix mosaics blend brown and beige marbles.

Walnut, Noce and Rust Travertine

Walnut and Noce travertine have warm walnut-brown tones with natural banding and pores. Noce Exotic adds stronger contrast. Scabos mixes rust, gold and brown for a rustic look. Finishes include tumbled, honed, filled & honed and split-faced, and several come in Versailles pattern sets and ledger panels. Walnut also comes as pavers and pool coping. What is travertine?

Finish, Sealing and Care

Polished brown marble shows its veining most strongly; honed and tumbled finishes are softer and matte. Honed vs polished explains the difference. Seal as recommended for the product and location, and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners.
